Hawaiian Tropical Mini Golf Virtual Adventure![]()

Across the Koolau's from Waikiki in
cozy Kaneohe is a tropical themed mini golf course at the BayView Golf Park. The 36 hole
course is set among a giant Banyan tree, waterfalls, tropical trees and flowers, and even
grass huts.

The 36 holes is the a combination of
two courses, the Pali and the Likelike. We began with the Pali course which was lush with
many types of palm trees and beautiful exotic flowers.

Each hole was unique. All of the holes
were listed as a par 2 but some holes were a bit more challenging than others. Some had
water traps, some had multi holes, and some you couldn't even see the hole from the tee so
you just hit the ball and hope for the best.

The waterfalls running through the
Likelike course was not operational and the water was stagnate and kind of stinky. The
mosquitoes had moved in and we got several bites. This course didn't seem as well
maintained as the Pali course but it was still fun to play.
It took about 1 1/2 hours to play all
36 holes and it was a lot of fun. The holes are set up so that if you make an effort you
should score a few hole-in-ones. It isn't totally easy but it isn't extremely challenging,
which makes it a fun experience for locals and visitors of all ages. BayView Golf Park
also features a two tier driving range if you want to hit some long balls. To get to the
park from Waikiki take the H1 West and get off at the Likelike Highway exit. The Likelike
Highway will turn into Kaneohe Bay Drive when you enter the town of Kaneohe. The golf park
will be on your left on Kaneohe Bay Drive. Admission was $12 for 18 holes and $24 for 36
holes. Kama'aina's get a 50% discount with a state ID. For more information call 808
